12 agosto FREECYCLE RANDOM BLOG!Well this is rather off topic for me and random but I wanted to do a blog about freecycle for anyone who does not know about it because it is a great group to be a part of. Freecycle is a yahoo group and there are local groups up and down the uk and across other countries also. It is a recycling movement with 1 sole aim to keep good things out of land fill sites! Basically people list things they no longer want and others request them. its all free - no money is involved. You can also place wanted ads too. Brian and I have been members on Freecycle since about march this yearand since then i have given away many things including a cooke, a fridge, a dehumidifier, books, carboot items, carrier seat for a bike, and much much more!! We have recieved books, 2 bookcases, a brand new double mattress, a single mattress, a 1yr old fridge, a giant freezer, a patio table, glass wear, a wheelchair and a toilet for my dad, a table, a chest of draws, a fridge freezer for my brother and other things as well. Obviously you have to travel to collect the items but it is a very good system on freecycle - a share of giving and taking and keeping good quality things from being sent to the tip.
